hello there lime~
for our annual re-read of d.gray-man, i thought that we should take things slow instead of the usual pace we do of consuming chapters upon chapters in one sitting.
perhaps, let us take a look how hoshino does her linework. what does she emphasize? how does she define her characters through body language and not just through their words...
where does this resolve come from you may ask?
-> well, i recently noticed that allen hugged the akuma in the first chapter (O.O)
and so it made me wonder, what kind of other tidbits did i miss?
it is a bit embarassing to admit.. but we never did take our time with d.gray-man nor the other pieces of artwork we claim to love... but i think that is fine.. we can still make-up for it in our own way.. at our own time... at our own pace...
on that note, i also thought of using d.gray-man as our inspiration for our artistic pursuits.
learning dynamic action poses? -> imagine any of the characters in battle
learning portaits? -> imagine them taking a photo for memories sake
^ something along these lines
and as hoshino's style grew over the years, i also hope that our style too will grow :>
yeh. i think that is it for now
until next time lime
much love,
zeren
